We do not have any kittens at home. We are expecting a litter of kittens in the beginning of August 2019, which means they will be ready for their homes in November 2019. Please contact us about the waiting list.
We do not have any adult cats searching for a family.

What’s involved in adopting a kitten/cat from SE*Purrito?
I spend a lot of time with each and every individual kitten. Because of this and my love for them, it is important to me to find forever homes for my kittens where they will be loved and cared for as family members. Once registered as owner, it is you who decides what you do with your cat (companionship, shows, and/or breeding). Every kitten from Purrito demands that you are their companion. Although I of course cannot make any guarantees that a kitten will do well in the show ring or in breeding, I’m happy to use my time that I’ve spent with each kitten to advise in selection. Please note that kittens sold for breeding are only sold to registered breeders (SVERAK is the governing body in Sweden). Breeding cats is hobby which requires much time, effort, and resources, and it is important to me that the breeders I work with are interested in bettering the breeds and practice ethical breeding.
Here’s what the adoption process at SE*Purrito looks like:
|Anytime||Temporary places are offered on a waiting list on an ongoing basis. These places are permanent once we have met and we both feel that it is a good match between us. The transition to a permanent place on the list will be communicated to you. Please tell me a bit about yourself, what you can offer to a new family member, and what you’re looking for in your companion!|
|When the kittens are 6 weeks old…||I contact those on the waiting list to see if they are potentially interested in a kitten. By six weeks we have a good idea that everyone is healthy, and they begin to show their personalities.|
|When the kittens are 9 – 10 weeks old…||Booking begins. It is my goal to make sure that kittens find the right families. That means that it’s not always those that have waiting the longest that get a kitten first. Kittens are not like regular items that one purchases at a store. It takes this long for kittens to really show who they are. Note that some kittens may be unable to be booked at this age if they are under evaluation for breeding programs, but they may be available later. A non-refundable 15% deposit is to be made by the adopting family at the time of booking. A contract will be signed.|
|When the kittens have had their first vaccination (approximately 10 weeks old)…||Families involved in the booking process are welcome to book times to come and visit the kittens. It is important to wait until after the first vaccination has taken effect to help protect these precious little lives.|
|When the kittens are 15 – 16 weeks old…||They are most likely ready to move to their new homes. By this point in time they have had their second vaccination, should weigh over 1 kg, and pass the veterinary inspection. Only healthy kittens are ready to move to their forever homes. When you pick up your new family member, we finish the paperwork and outstanding payment.|

What does the adoption of a kitten include?
- the kitten is at least 12 weeks old, most often older (it is extremely important for the kitten’s development to have enough time with mum, especially intelligent and social breeds like Devon Rex)
- the kitten is fully vaccinated (next required vaccination is on the kitten’s birthday)
- the kitten has been inspected by a veterinarian, and deemed healthy within 1 week of it’s new owners coming to pick the kitten up
- the kitten is ID chipped
- the kitten (and pedigree) is registered with SVERAK
- you are registered as the owner
- the kitten is insured against genetic defects for 3 years
- the kitten is fully-charged with mischief, love and kisses
- a kitten package follows along, which includes some food that the kitten is used to, a security blanket which smells like mum, and a toy
Interested in kittens?
To maintain the health standards in my cattery whilst still developing the blood lines, occasionally I am interested in someone for “co-ownership” (fodervärd) of males or females. Of course it needs to be the right kitten as well as the right co-owners.
Interested in a kitten? Contact me here, and let me know what kind of life kittens would have with you, and what you’re looking for in a kitten! Even if I don’t have any kittens at the moment I’m happy to start the discussion in advance and put you on the waiting list. Please note that our waiting list is not queue based. It is most important to me to match the right kitten with the right family.
When deciding on your kitten, remember to consider that these breeds are very social. They like to have human and cat companions, and the bond between littermates is something very special!
